The Referee Suffered Non-Critical Injuries.

As reported by FOX 13:

A 15-year-old and four men were arrested after a man backed a car into an officer at a Memphis chop shop, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).

MPD said officers spotted several people running from a home on Rockdale Avenue in Whitehaven around 3 a.m. on February 29.

Officers saw a man hiding in a Lexus 350 and walked up to the car, MPD said. That's when the man hiding in the backseat jumped into the front seat, put the car in reverse and rammed into the officer, according to MPD.

Police said the officer suffered non-critical injuries and was taken to the hospital.

After seeing one of the men run into a home on Rockdale Avenue, officers executed a search warrant. MPD said they found several men and a 15-year-old boy inside along with three pistols, an AR-15 pistol, an AR-15 rifle, several pistol magazines, AR magazines, a box of 9mm ammunition, a digital scale, nearly four pounds of marijuana and money.

Outside, police confiscated two stolen vehicles, a 2018 Dodge Durango and a 2017 Nissan Maxima. A 2009 Honda Accord and a 2012 Cadillac CTS were also seized due to being used in the conveyance of drug sales, police said.
