A Drive-By at a House Party Fatally Injured the 18-Year-Old-Team Captain.
As reported by Click 2 Houston:
A balloon release is being held on Wednesday for a North Shore High School football star, who died in a drive-by shooting while he was at a party in North Harris County.
The event is being held to remember the legacy of Jarvon Coles, 18. It’ll be at 4 p.m. at the North Shore High School Football Field House in Galena Park.
Coles was a team captain for the football team and had a 4.2 GPA. He also had many offers from colleges to join their football teams, but coaches and teammates said he had decided to play at Lamar University.
For the event on Wednesday, people are encouraged to bring red, black, and white balloons.
The shooting happened Saturday night in the 4900 block of Fieldwick Lane.
Coles had been attending a large party at a rental house.
A car then drove by the location with several people inside. They fired at the house and shot Coles.
He was later taken to a hospital, and he died.
