The 21-Year-Old was Penalized for Murder, Assault on a Public Servant, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

As reported by 3 NEWS:

Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Vela Street around 1 a.m. Saturday morning after hearing reports of a gunshot.

When they arrived, they found the body of 20-year-old Nicholas Guerrero with a stab wound to the chest and a gunshot wound to the shoulder.

While officers were investigating, 21-year-old Joshua Salge called from Robstown saying he was the responsible for the murder.

Salge gave a statement to police but after questioning, is accused of punching a Kingsville officer.

He's in the Kleberg County jail on one count of murder, one count of assault on a public servant and one count of tampering with physical evidence.

Kleberg County Sheriff Richard Kirkpatrick told 3News there was an initial delay in obtaining a booking photo from Salge due to the 21-year-old's reported non-compliance. Salge is being held on a bond of $530,000.
